The Daily Review: Lelo Oden

This is going to be my last review of the day. For this review, I was given the Lelo Oden courtesy of Babeland, so that's what we shall be talking about.

For those unaware of Lelo, it's a Swedish based sex toy company that focuses on producing high quality intimacy gear, including but not limited to, sex toys, silk bedroom accessories and massage oils. They've also created the PicoBong line and the Intimina lines.

The Oden,Tiani, and Lyla comes with a new type of technology, called SenseMotion. Basically, with SenseMotion, an individual is able to pleasure his/ her/ etc. partner up to thirty feet away with an incredibly expensive sex toy and remote. 

The Oden is the cock ring of the series, which is meant to be used on the shaft of the penis or a dildo. (Really, it's up to you.) For the sake of experiementation, I used the toy on the shaft of my Tantus Cush. I kind of knew that the vibrations were going to have a problem passing not only through its own silicone, but through the thick silicone as well of the Cush, so I stuck it in the middle, where I usually have a problem with it progressing internally. 

This might be down you alley if you or your partner(s) is/ are into playing with sex toys in public, or looking like you're controlling your partner's genitals with a Wiimote or something like that. As for penis sizes, I would only recommend this for those on the smaller size. Yes, it stretches, but only to a point and then it becomes incredibly uncomfortable. Then, it's going to sit very tightly on whomever's cock this is being used on, and it might almost feel the curling end of toy is digging into the skin. When it's not stretched, it can accommodate penis sizes as small as 1" in diameter; when stretched it can accommodate sizes up to 2 1/2". It also is suitable for those that enjoy weaker toys. 

Despite the fact that Oden is a cheaply made toy, I really liked the silicone that it's made of. It's the same silicone that the PicoBong line is made of, which is nice because it's incredibly smooth with almost drag whatsoever. Most of the cock ring and remote is made of silicone. There is a band of plastic in the center of the ring and on the back of the remote as well. To be honest, it felt incredibly cheap to the touch for being such an incredibly expensive toy. If the plastic was popped off, it could easily be bent or manipulated. After leaving it exposed in my room for a couple weeks, I found that the edge of the plastic of the remote was slightly dented. 

Now more about this SenseMotion business- with the mere "flick of a wrist, you can change the pattern." Unfortunately, this can be incredibly inconvenient when intimacy finally happens when someone moves their wrist at an inconvenient time. If you're not comfortable with that, there is manual mode that's supposed to work up to 3o- ish feet. It worked fine in my apartment, but I found it didn't relay vibrations through walls very well.  Another problem that I had with the toy is that the vibrations were delayed... For being such an expensive toy, how could Lelo allow this to happen? This toy was already losing dearly in my book.

So, how is the Oden powered? Some more inconvenience, but not as bad as everything else. First, the actual cock ring needs to be charged. To do that, take the toy apart by untwisting the ring part off and be sure to charge the body of the toy. After the toy is completely charged, be sure to you have two AAA batteries on hand, so that they may be inserted into the remote part. The back of the remote is a bitch to remove, so you have to make sure to apply pressure and slide counterclockwise with your finger tips. And your toy is ready to use!

Luckily, I didn't have to use this internally, because the other two toys that have the SenseMotion technology have a tendency to stop completely stop when inserted. Don't worry, I did the fact checking for you. I checked close to five or seven reviews, so you didn't have to suffer the sadness. 

What did you think of Oden?

For being close to $150, I wasn't expecting so many screw ups. For $150, I wasn't thinking there were going to be any screw ups AT ALL. Luckily, I didn't buy this, so I'm not totally infuriated. 

Considering that it was also produced by Lelo, I was expecting something that would be worthy of sex gods. However, seeing how the cons greatly outweigh the pros, there's no way in hell I would consider recommending this toy someone unless they wanted to purchase an overpriced toy to torture themselves or their partner.

Pros: The silicone attracted almost no dirt whatsoever, despite being forced to endure the conditions of my room for almost a month, it comes in a nice box.

Cons: Vibrations are delayed, somewhat weak, SenseMotion mode can make vibrations erratic, plastic used on the toy get scratched easily, incredibly overpriced, what was Lelo thinking???

I hope that Lelo has the chance to revamp this line because for the time being, I couldn't justify spending more than thirty bucks on it (MAYBE). Based on the pros and cons, I'll reward Lelo Oden 2 Stars. 

The Daily Review: PicoBong Kiki

I have another (way overdue) review for the ever wonderful people at Babeland. I was given two toys made the luxury toy maker, Lelo. This review is in regards to the Kiki, and the other review is for the Oden.

 Honestly, I know there are a lot of people that like Lelo, but after experimenting with most of their PicoBong line and one toy from the SenseMotion line, I'm not sure how I feel about the brand. Yes, I really liked the Mahana and the Ipo, but the rest of my toys, such as the Honi and Kiki were better used as teaser toys.

Anyway, moving on. Kiki is made of the same silicone used for the rest of the PicoBong line, which is super smooth and attracts almost no particulars  whatsoever. In my opinion, it almost feels like plastic. The bottom part, which is to be unscrewed to place the battery in the toy, is made of plastic. 

The toy does have a rather large crack in between the bottom cap and the rest of the toy. This is actually a common flaw with the rest of the PicoBong line. It might not seem like a problem at first, but since I squirt when I orgasm, I find that it's incredibly easy for fluid to get stuck and overlooked if the toy is not being paid enough attention during the cleaning process. The user needs to be careful because if water does get into the battery chamber during cleaning, the toy can be damaged.

When I got Kiki, I was really surprised by its small size. For some odd reason, I thought it was going to be a  lot larger. However, I also almost never check the specs of a toy, so that really shouldn't be that big of a surprise for me. Kiki is about 3 1/2 in length, and has no insertable length. At its narrowest, it is about 3" and at its widest, it is about 5".

The toy has a flat head, which can be used for "broad" clitoral stimulation. I put broad in parenthesis because as someone who pretty much needs a lot of surface area to be covered on my clit to get off, it didn't really do the job. The sides of the head can be used for pinpoint stimulation. The toy narrows down to a little "neck" and then becomes more broad. In my opinion, it look likes an elongated egg.

Kiki, though really not designed for this purpose, could be used to stimulate the nipples, the taint, the perineum, or anything external body part you can think of. Do not use on aches and pains on the legs, however, because this can be fatal. (Sometimes these pains are actually clots, and the vibrations could sent it straight to the heart). Also, do not insert this anally, because this has no base whatsoever. I doubt you want to go to the ER for a painful extraction, unless you're into that. This is really not meant to be inserted vaginally, but if that's what you want to do, go for it.

Who would I recommend the Kiki to? Kiki is probably best for someone who likes buzzy and weaker moderate intensities. It's also good for someone who doesn't need either pinpoint stimulation or broad stimulation. I wouldn't recommend this to beginners because there isn't a large variety of intensities to choose from, and some newbies might find that they don't like how buzzy it is.

Kiki, why must you be so buzzy?! It starts off with a soft vibration, then gradually becomes stronger (and more buzzy). At its most powerful, it's probably similar to some other cheaper bullets at their strongest intensity. By the time I scrolled up to the last intensity, my fingers were incredibly uncomfortable. Though the vibrations were focused on the top of the toy, they were mildly dispersed throughout the rest of the toy, which caused me "itchy fingers syndrome."

To turn the toy on and off, there is + sign located within the "b" of the logo on the side, and there is a - located in the "P;" make sure to press either key for about three seconds. To change the intensity, hold either sign for about a second. The toy will always start off with the weakest intensity when turned back on.

One major plus about Kiki is that it's super quiet. I was seriously masturbating with my door open, and my other roommate couldn't hear me.

For cleaning, you'll want to wipe the silicone part with a 10% bleach solution or if you're not interested in that kind of heavy duty cleaning, wipe the toy down with a toy cleaner and/ or warm water and soap. Make sure to get in between the crevices of the logo (and of course, remember what I mentioned about the crease). For the plastic cap, wipe it down with a toy cleaner and/ or soap and warm water.

What did you think of Kiki?
It's a cute idea, but I think it's a better teaser toy than anything else. I sat with the toy between my legs for about a minute, and I was barely aroused. However, I do like the silicone that Lelo used and I'm a big fan of how quiet it is. If Lelo can produce a toy that quiet with a little more power, I would be incredibly happy.

Pros: Excellent Silicone, super quiet, travel sized
Cons: Really buzzy, not beginner friendly, creases attract dirt and fluids

I received a new toy, the PicoBong Honi, courtesy of Babeland. I enjoyed the PicoBong line thus far, but for some reason, the Honi didn't meet my requirements.

Ta-da! OK, I'm finally starting about five or six toy reviews. For this review, I'll reviewing PicoBong's Mahana from luxury toy maker, Lelo, which was kindly provided to me by Babeland.

Babeland and Me!

Cool! I'm now an affiliate at Babeland toys! I'm a big fan of Babeland because unlike a lot of other sex toy companies, they sell only body healthy products. What that means is that none of their products carry phthalates, a chemical known to cause health problems in the reproductive systems in both men and women.

Many companies claim that customers should have a choice in choosing whether customers want to buy products that carry this because toys that carry phthalates tend to be cheaper. It doesn't make sense to myself though, because buying a body safe, high quality toy for a low price is feasible!

I'm looking forward to my partnership with Babeland and I can't wait to give you lots of awesome reviews!
